Workshop Leader

Dr. Zhiwei Song obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan where he studied plant lectins and protein glycosylation in cancer cells. His post-doc work was completed in the Biology Department at MIT where he studied genetic control of apoptosis.

In 2002, Dr. Song moved to Singapore. Now he is a Principal Scientist at the Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI) of A*STAR. His research has been focused on protein glycosylation, production of recombinant antibodies using CHO cells and apoptotic cell death in cultured mammalian cells.

Amarnath Chatterjee

Amarnath Chatterjee is a Biophysicist with more than a decades experience on working with peptides and proteins. Currently leading a team of scientists to generate and analyze physicochemical data under the perview of CMC data on anti diabetics and pharma molecules using an array of spectrometric and spectroscopic methodologies for regulatory submissions as well as process development.

The workshop will focus on the usage of various biophysical tools in obtaining insights into some of the CMC parameters.
